This photo makes me long to head up around that bend and keep going, though maybe not this weekend as it looks to be extremely cold. Though tucked into Ngamoko with the stove going does have a certain appeal.

I know what you mean, Robb. Mind you, I'd probably wimp out at mid Pohangina hut rather than face a couple of hours of wading up the river from there to Ngamoko. And given the current state of the river, that probably wouldn't be a good idea.
