There's loads of really nice texture going on in this.. I'm confused though.. does "based on a photo" mean this is a photoshop thingy?... Not that it matters, I like the way the live wire post looks so much like one of the trees.. cool picture!-)
Thanks Watercats. It's a photo, but I've pushed the processing in Lightroom and Photoshop quite hard (although many photographers (?) would consider this fairly light on the post-processing). Nothing's been added or removed (other than the colour, of course), but to my mind it's getting towards the point at which its status as a photo could be argued. Some people love those sorts of arguments. I find them mostly pointless, but I have a strong aversion to labels.
Cheers Michael. I wouldn't want to overuse this kind of processing, but sometimes it seems appropriate. OTOH, it'd be interesting to put together a series of photos with this theme to see how well they worked together. Hmmm... now you've got me thinking...

Anyway, I'm glad you liked it :^)
The sort of thing found in a ruined house, among yellowed papers, hinting at mysterious communication.
A new favorite. This is fascinating and beautiful...a real sort of Miss-Havisham-in-nature quality to it, if you know what I mean.
Zhoen, that's it. Spot on.
Emma, yeah, I think I do. Really pleased it appeals to you.
I like it too. It has a 19th century feel to it.

Agree with Zhoen. It seems very mysterious and fascinating. Love it!
Thanks Bev!
