Scrambling rose

White rose
What must the world seem like to a thrips*, or a tiny wasp?

*"Thrips" is both plural and singular. It's like "species"— one doesn't say "specie" (unless referring to coins, collectively).

We are of like minds today. Amazing. I might not have noticed the thrips without your caption.

Cheers Michael. Always interesting to discover what others see. (Tonight's photo might prove interesting!)

Interesting photo Pete!
It took me a second to understand that it is actually a flower.
And it is also has a certain mood...
You know, MOOD - is what I cherish the most in photographs.

how immaculate is that! very bright but allowing every detail to be noticeabla for each petal. the little bugs aren't so pleasant, but it's a very professional photograph. major props

Thanks D.V.A. The little bugs are actually kind of cute if you can get a good look at them, but they're so small it'd be hard to photograph them without specialised equipment.

yes, cute on their own, but in my view they desecrate the flower, which is why it displeased me. I'm a purist and a romantic at heart, I like things to be as they should and as it is beautiful to be. And if your equipment isn't specialized enough, you'd need a microscope attached to it. Seriously, your camera is magical and you have great talent at catching the right shot. Great job on everything on here!

D.V.A., we all have our own likes and dislikes, I guess. And many flowers rely on insects (or birds or bats, etc.) to pollinate them. These little thrips probably aren't pollinators, but who knows what their role is in the larger scheme of things? Anyway, thanks for the thoughts. Cheers!
