Edge of the Ganges, Rishikesh

Different ways of life
The young guys had just ventured into the river and seemed keen to be included when I photographed my “guides”.
Mid November 2006. I wonder where they are now; what they’re doing; how they’ve lived in the years since I met them.

“Different ways of life”

I wonder more about different ways of thinking.

Yes, lives are different throughout the world, but do people generally think different than everyone else?

You captured a wonderful moment in time -- a great sense of good feelings emanates from this photo.

Thanks Paul. Yes, good point — the way we think connects as well as differentiates us. One of the things I found so frustrating in some parts of India was being unable to speak the local language. Gestures, smiles and body language have only limited power to convey thoughts.
