She wanted to play cat-and-mouse, or snow leopard-and-goral, with me, but the wire got in the way. Eventually she lay down and watched me. I didn't want to leave, but the zoo was about to close.

You have created so many eloquent photographs, but this is heart-breaking. The wire did not get in the way, it made the most stunning image. I think she didn't want you to leave either; both your feelings are perfectly visible.
P.E.A. is right, I believe. I think she felt your kindred spirit. Those eyes are a surprise to me, as I'm used to my cat's jade tinted eyes. I love the fawn blotches on her nose. They symmetry of her nose is amazing.
P.E.A. thank you. I don't know how long she'd been captive — for all I know she may even have been born in captivity — but her interest seemed to reflect something intensely alive. Such a contrast to so many zoo animals.
Barbara, thank you. Her eyes are astonishing — so different in colour from all other cats I've seen, and so intense.
