Metaphor [2] — [Cattle, Ruahine]

Cattle & RuahineA telephoto shot of part of the view from my back door this morning. It struck me as having the elements of metaphor.

That's a moo'ving shot... (sorry)..
stunning photo! It could be a metaphor for a million things in life, it's got a really dream-like quality to it and love the sepia tones (is that the light?) I can almost smell the mist.. beautiful... :-)

Watercats — ha! Guess I should have expected something like that... ;^) But thanks; glad the photo was so evocative for you.

Zhoen, lots of things. For example, the colonial history of Aotearoa/New Zealand; also something deeper, about relationship to the planet — our only home. But photos and metaphors mean different things to different people, and even though I produced the photo, I certainly have no monopoly on its interpretation.
