Thank you. What a streetwise and worldly fellow.
Zhoen, they're not all as apparently affable as this one. At night there was a particularly nasty gang of dogs I was warned about and took care to avoid.
Aww! My sort of dog. I like him.
Lesley, he is kind of cute, isn't he?
I wouldn't have thought him affable. Placid and alert, perhaps. I would not approach him, only admire from a respectful distance.
Zhoen: thanks for requesting this photo. He looks so serene and regal, doesn't he - more cat-like in his poise and authority than we normally expect of dogs. And so casually curious :-)
Zhoen, that's a good attitude in India in particular, and it's exactly how I treated this dog.Lisa, now you point it out, I do see something cat-like here. I think the slight tilt of the head has a lot to do with the apparent alertness and curiosity.
Kia Ora Pete... This photo reminded me of a bit of news. Fred, our cat, ended up with a nasty scratch that turned nasty. We took him to a vet, and when she asked about his history we said he just sort of appeared and started living under our porch till we coaxed him in so we knew little about him. For starters she said, Fred is a girl....We are being very supportive of Fred's lifestyle choice.. :)
Kia ora Robb. Ha! Love it! I don't know whether this one was a he or a she, but I wasn't about to check ;^)
