Baring Head: approaches to gravity

Baring Head on Saturday. Dan Pringle sends a high and scary problem on the wall in the Split Apple area. Although the cloud dispersed a little as the day wore on, the cold southerly meant the most popular climbs were those with a least a little shelter.

(The gull was NOT photoshopped in.)

That just looks wonderful, speaking as my ten year old clamberer self.

Your ten year old self would love Baring Head, Zhoen. Although many of the documented climbs are very hard (impossible for many of us), it's easy to just clamber about. Plenty of scope, and it's right next to the sea — what more could a kid wish for?
