This low traverse proved popular, partly because it was more sheltered from the cold southerly than many other climbs, but also, I suspect, because falling off never hurt ;^)

Hmm... good point Zhoen. Some landings do hurt — I speak from experience :^(
Your bouldering photos are wonderful, Pete. I cut out the one of hands from the Bivouac newsletter and had it blu-tacked to a shelf above my desk - until last week when we took the shelf down for safety's sake. Until the earth quietens, the hands will climb on a kitchen cupboard door instead. It's my favourite of your bouldering photos, but this one is my next favourite.
