Dawn on the coast of Ghana

Thunderstorms every day; heat; humidity; the sound of surf. The beach pocked with burrows — the homes of hand-sized crabs — and rumpled by the feet of still-sleeping humans.

I love the openness of the ocean. And the sense of being at the end of a journey. I saw this sky yesterday in Alberta. The world gets around!

Oi, this photo is magical! The ocean is so quiet...and then there's ONE big wave! The sky, the colors...everything is so beautiful! Thanks!!

Oh my. Spectacular! Look at those beautiful colours. How I'd love to be there right now. A bit different from Castlecliff beach ...

Michael, when I travel I often find myself comparing where I am to places I've been. It has its uses, but sometimes I wish I could see new places free from the influence of those comparisons. Not possible, of course.

Apusiaq, that wave actually was large. The lens makes it look small, but if I'd been standing just in front of it, it would have been over my head.

Anne-Marie, I'd love to be there now, too. Almost anywhere warm, in fact. You'd have had a fantastic time there.
