and there's me with some idea that New Zealand is a sunny hot place in summer!.. lol, this could be a summer's evening on the beach here!

Watercats, the first few days we were there were pretty dodgy, weatherwise, but it soon reverted to the usual lovely, sunny days. January had been a shocker — quite atypical for Hawkes Bay — so we timed our visit very well.
