Parbat had just begun guiding, as a supplement to his teaching. We were the second group he'd taken to visit some of the local villagers and, he pointed out, we were among the first foreigners those villagers had met.

Pete, as his face popped up on my screen I thought it was going to pop right out!
You have a knack of catching people in the middle of living, and not in a pause for the purpose of posing for the camera.
It's so good to see such an expressive portrait of someone you have written about elsewhere.
Thanks Lesley :^) We were so lucky to meet Parbat, not just because of what he was able to show us, but because he was such a delightful person. A real privilege.
