Morning mist, Pohangina valley

An early morning in mid November 2009; mist hangs over the hills on the western side of the valley.

Ah! More of that lovely cool fog feeling! I love the texture of all these shades of grey.

Thanks Christy. Whenever we get fog or mist here I feel like picking up the camera and going for a walk. It's almost like seeing a place for the first time.

I have never been to Scotland but these mists make me feel like that is how it would be? I love it

Thanks Teresa. Scotland's landscapes are diverse, but when I think of a typical Scottish landscape it's much more stark — fewer (or no) trees; more rolling; higher, harder hills. Leonie has just posted some excellent photos from a recent journey in Scotland.
