Storm surge, Flounder Bay

Storm surge at Flounder BayA wild weather system coming up from the south meant the first couple of days at Flounder Bay weren't exactly tropical. In compensation, we got surf like this — particularly beautiful in the late light towards evening.

Lovely water for a swim. Or at least a paddle :-) Great photo - I love the colour of the wave before it breaks.

Now that is surf! You have captured this wonderfully, the aqua coming through the wave is beautiful.

Anne-Marie, you're a nutter. ;^)

Watercats — I bet they kicked hard, too.

Zhoen, that's what we said.

Tammie, thanks. I think it's things like those touches of colour that one starts to notice and look for after lots of wave watching. A nice sunny, calm day just isn't the same.
