The Himalaya from Kausani

The Himalaya from Kausani

Kausani, in the Kumaon region of Uttaranchal, is famous for its views of the Himalaya. The strange black shape above the tree is a crow. A few seconds' work would remove it, but I don't want to.

The crow is beautiful in front of the waves of rocks crashing in .

How absolutely breath-taking. Like Zhoen, I'm glad the crow is there.
What time of day was this?

Zhoen — waves of rocks crashing in. It is like that, isn't it? Geological time compared to the life span of a bird. Plenty to get me musing. Thanks.

RR, it was early morning (if my memory and the appropriate time conversion from the photo's metadata are correct). Pretty sure I'm right, and when I checked the direction of the view on Google maps it confirmed it. Strange that I struggle to see it as morning.

Kia ora Pete,
This is another one that grabs me, keeps me coming back to view it, and always being attracted to something new. Waves crashing is a perfect description.
