In New Zealand you'd pay almost ten times what you pay for a good meal here at the Capital Hotel restaurant. ('Restaurant' might convey slightly the wrong impression, though, as you can probably tell from this photograph.) The bonus is that you get waited on by these guys. Little wonder I like eating here.

Well, Pete; what was on the menu? What did you order? Was it any good? We need to know, just in case we turn up there!
Avus, dal with rice and naan the first two nights, aloo gobi with rice and naan tonight. It's certainly good, and if you turn up here, I'll shout you a meal there ;-)
Pete, did you manage to get to an ATM??
Yum.
Lisa, no, I haven't. The queues are still horrendous, although they show some signs of abating (slightly; possibly). Tomorrow I'm off to Nepal, where I trust I'll at last be able to access my money.
Zhoen - exactly.
