Fiddlehead, No. 1 Line track

I'm fascinated by the diversity of shapes and forms of plants. Some draw me back; they call out to be noticed. 'Photograph me!' this unfolding fern frond seemed to say.

Easy to see why they're called fiddleheads.

And so strong they can move a paving slab!

Zhoen — definitely.

RR, good point. They're the perfect riposte to any criticism of working slowly ;^)

Kia Ora Pete,
The essence of Aoteroa...I took my American visitors on the short loop track, which they thought was amazing. And I guess it is. Moments like yours here, and seeing through the eyes of my guests remind me of what a truly amazing place we live. Kia ora!
