From the rooftop patio of our hostel, we could see the Cordillera Blanca in every kind of light. Here, morning rain filters the light around Churup.
I loved Huaraz and the Cordillera Blanca. You might have to put up with a few more photos from there.

Love the thick air, and layers of mountains.
Beautiful. Trying to imagine how high they are.
My very first thought, though, when I saw the image, was... you just don't get views like this from most resort or 5 star hotels...
Yes, lots more, please. This is so beautiful it's hard to believe that it's real.
Zhoen, that aerial (or atmospheric) perspective never fails to affect me. I love it, perhaps partly because it's almost always associated with mountains.
Miguel, Churup is just under 5500 m; others in the Cordillera Blanca are much higher and include Huascaran, Peru's highest peak (6768 m).
Five-star resorts tend not to look views that include rain ;^)
RR, Huaraz has been one of the highlights of this journey, and I can assure you this is real! ;^)
