From this angle it does have a taniwha-ish appearance. Slightly menacing almost.

Intensity in Green, with great texture.
Robb, with a bit of imagination it does look like like some kind of clawed hand reaching out. Comforting to know it's not ongaonga ;^)
Zhoen,this photograph doesn't show it, but it often has a distinct reddish tinge.
