Dawn; western hills, Pohangina Valley

I've been away for a while. Before I left, I was treated to this sight from the verandah outside the kitchen.

Not bad, eh?

The light is warm and beautiful.

I echo all these comments, especially Relatively Retiring's, but I must add that this seems to pull a song up and out from deep inside. Thanks!

Zhoen, that was my reaction.

RR, yes, after travelling overseas, it's nice to think I have this to return to.

Robin, it's the sort of light that makes me relax and lose the tension of the cold.

Barbara, I agree — the sort of light that makes the heart sing.

Spring's definitely on the way now, Brenda, and it's bringing at least a little of the warmth this photograph suggests.
