Fantail/piwakawaka

On the Massey University campus this morning a little piwakawaka obligingly posed for me, holding still just long enough for a photograph.

  1. Very different view of these fellas. (I have one of yours as a desktop image that I treasure.)

  2. Zhoen, when photographing these, you never know what you'll get. You just have to keep trying, and the uncertainty of the outcome is one of the reasons I keep photographing. I'm delighted you're getting so much enjoyment out of that photo, too. :-)

  3. Zhoen: I know just the image you're referring to (I have it up on my wall!). When I saw this new image, I thought "oh, that baby has grown its tail!"

  4. Ha! That one certainly does look very different, Lisa, but I can assure you it had a tail (and no doubt has been telling one to its mates ever since it became famous).

Constructive criticism is welcomed (I particularly appreciate thoughts on what you like and don't like), but please keep it courteous.
