Same place as this photograph, one day later, a different feel. Everywhere I travelled, I felt compelled to photograph flowing water. Here in the mountains of Chile, so similar to Aotearoa in so many ways, the compulsion felt even stronger.

Leonie, the water was glacial in every sense.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing as compelling as moving water. Something innate in us, perhaps because it is safe(r) to drink, vital. But there has to be something else.
ReplyDeleteZhoen, that's exactly right. I don't know what it is about moving water that affects me so strongly, but surely it must in some way be the product of our evolution.
