As evening fell, I found what shelter I could and watched as we made our way through the fjords. The maze seemed endless. We shared the sea with nothing but the wind and the birds.

Kia ora Pete,
ReplyDeleteThere seems to be a flow, or connection between many of these moments and Aotearoa to me. I hope that does not cause offence, I guess I just mean that it seems where ever we go we are always part of where we have been before, or where we come from. Something like that.
Cheers,
Robb
Such a texture to the water, striations, highlighted by such amazing light.
ReplyDeleteKia ora Robb. I don't see how anyone could possibly take offence at that observation, particularly when the connection's between Chile and Aotearoa. So much over there seemed so familiar that I had to keep reminding myself to see and feel those places in their own right; to suspend the comparisons.
ReplyDeleteTennyson summed it up when he said, "I am a part of all that I have met"
Zhoen, the wind caused those patterns on the water. On other occasions the surface of the sea resembled a mirror.
Antarctic wind? FFWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
ReplyDeleteMiguel, probably not — we were well north (relatively speaking). I felt the Antarctic wind in Ushuaia, though.
