Moody magnificence. And I agree with you about the messiness of leeches. I still remember the sad day I picked up over 40 of the suckers (including one in my ear) while wandering through a rainforest in Queensland.
Kia ora Pete, I am reminded of my native Wisconsin's coniferous forests by this image. Never had it worry much about leeches, but bound to pick off wood ticks after a days roaming as a kid. Not much of problem then, but with Lyme disease evolving since probably more of an issue these days.
