Squall and prayer flags

Torrential downpours yesterday, with thunder prowling in the hills. Such a contrast with the previous evening.

  1. The torrential downpour is here in Atlanta this morning - along with the epic thunder and show-stopping lightning. I pray I don't hear any of the trees crack under the pressure; their pollen may bring misery, but they are so lovely. ... I find this composition beautiful, Pete: the force of the torrential rain and fierce wind, the delicate, tattered prayer flags, the misty greys, the perspective, the frozen moment of force and prayer...

  2. Thank you, Barbara :^) This was one of those photos that suggested itself, as if the composition guided me to reveal what was only hinted at in the raw photo. Good to know it worked so well for you, too. Thanks :^)
