If I were still using film, I doubt I'd even attempt a photograph like this — the proportion of failures (out of focus, blurred, the bee in the wrong position or even gone, and so on) is simply too high, and the cost would be prohibitive for me. Now it's mostly just a matter of patience and persistence.

I do LOVE digital cameras! And that's a great bee photo!
ReplyDeleteAmen about digital. I wouldn't be taking photos if I still had to pay for film and developing, with the time lag as extra irritation. The only reason I still love photography as a source of creativity for myself.

ReplyDeleteZhoen — thanks, and that's a good point about the shutter lag on many of the compact digitals. DSLRs, fortunately, don't have that annoyance.
