New Year bubble

Don't burst me, please.
On New Year's day we sat in the sun, relaxed, talked, wondered what the new year would bring. Someone had brought a little pot of bubble-making liquid and it proved popular, several people trying to see how large a bubble could be blown, or simply filling the air with the iridescent spheres.

  1. Hi Pete

The New Year bubble says more than a thousand words. We make our New Year's resolutions and rightly so but the playful bubbles do tell us of the myriads of possibilites the New Year has in store for us: a bag of mixed blessings and sadness. The bitter with the sweet will not miss our dinning table.

Thank you for sharing this awesome photo.

  2. Ohhhhh .... now you're talking! I adore bubbles ... even followed an errant one (from a bubble machine outside a toystore) down the sidewalk for quite a way, once. At our last house I could sit on the front porch and blow the bubbles so the wind would scoop them into a vortex. Wow - this certainly makes me smile;-0

  3. We keep a bottle of the stuff to occasionally blow bubbles off the balcony. Never got over my delight in them.

  4. Paterika, thanks, and well put — they seem to offer so many metaphors.

Barbara, glad it brought back good memories for you :^)

Zhoen, they seem to entrance everyone. Kind of addictive.
