About a month ago I biked my usual route up No. 2 Line but, because the evening light was so clear and beautiful, I carried the camera in a small daypack on my back. This and the steers were among the last photos before the camera began acting up. Fortunately it's back in action again (and has been for a couple of weeks).

Fantastic light. I like shots INTO the light and I've often noticed the way the powerlines glow on my dawn/dusk drives into the countryside.
ReplyDeleteIncredible value range.
ReplyDeleteCheers Michael. Power lines are so often condemned for ruining photos, but..., well..., they're there; that's how it is. And sometimes they tie things together.
ReplyDeletePatricia, thanks. Like Michael, I like photos looking into the light, but there's little leeway — for me, they generally either work beautifully or they're disasters. Dealing successfully with extreme contrast can be a matter of great nuance. I'm pleased you think I got this one right :^)
Something about this photo speaks very deeply of home to me. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Emma, pleased it works for you :^)
