Kia ora Pete, Lovely colours and depth. Is that an insect on the leaf? Makes me sort of glad we do not have to worry about crocs in the mountain pools. Cheers, Robb
Emma — I wouldn't drink that water! At least, not without boiling, filtering, or treating it.
Robin Andrea, thanks. :^)
Thanks Robb. Yes, that thing on the leaf looks to be a pupa (chrysalis). No idea whether it's actually associated with the water lilies or whether it's fallen or been dropped there.
Thirst-quenching. =)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. I particularly love the watercolor effect.
This is beautiful. The sensual brightness of the single flower works so well with the many muted shades of leaf, water, and reflection.

Too beautiful. My new desktop photo!
ReplyDeleteMichael — from a photographer of your ability, that's quite a compliment. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThere are crocodiles in NZ? The things you learn every day...
ReplyDeleteAnd would that pupa actually be the leftover forefinger from some hapless crocodile victim? ;-P
