Mr Sharma, desert historian and activist

Mr SharmaMr N.K. Sharma founded Jaisalmer's Folklore Museum in 1984 and the Desert Cultural Centre in 1987. I chatted with him and photographed him there in early 2007.

    Zhoen, one of his friends, who was minding the entrance, was a retired teacher of English. He too had that same sparkle. I chatted with him; he told me a wonderful story. There's something about that place and its people.
